Certified traditional products

Since 2011, S.C. Avi-Giis S.R.L. has created, through an independent production flow, a range of products that qualify as traditional — both because they are produced on national territory using local raw materials free of food additives, and because they are prepared according to traditional recipes and production methods.

We named and grouped these products in a unique class: “As before – Romanian dishes”.

Through the Association of Traditional Producers, Craftsmen and Artisans of Vâlcea, Avi-Giis started at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 the European certification process for Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) for two products in its portfolio: “Axe-cut sausages from Vâlcea” and “Smoked meat in lard from Vâlcea”.

This indicator guarantees the quality and traceability of the products, maintains a quality standard and protects the reputation of local products.
